THIS IS A SCHOOL PROJECT, RADAK SELLS MYSTERY BOXES TO KIDS ON BOUNCY CASTLES There are only a few different sea fish around Skye. Mackerel, Herring and Pollock. Makerel are th most common fish around Skye, they are silver, back and green. They feed on very small fish and plankton. They usually are in large schools together, Sometines even in the hundreds of thousands. Here is a Mackerel: The best fish to eat from Skye is th pollock. They are brown and gold in colour and have large brown eyes.

The boat i use is a 17ft Orkney 520

On Skye most of the fish around are Mackerel but their is also Pollack, herring and a few others

The best way of fishing and also the easiest is from a boat. However, it is also possible to do shore fishing and pier fishing. Shore fishing is the hardest type of sea fishing as snags are vry likely due to the angle of the line. Here is a diagram on the best way to shore fish.

There are two ways of fishing from a boat, the most common one is with a rod but the other way of fishing is using a handline, a handline is a long, narrow but strong string and at the end is the hooks and weight, ther eis usually 4-6 hooks. Most people only use handlines because they ar simple and easy to use. Using a rod reqruies a lot more concentration and always needs 2 hands to use efficently. When you use a rod it is always best after each use to wash it in fresh water to remove and salt so no rusting will happen. Also reels ideally require servicing with oil or grease at the end of the fishing season. There are 2 types of reels that can be used at sea, a multiplier and a fixed spoil.
